We are proud to be part of a revolutionary resource recovery program, Sustainable Salons Australia. A program designed to achieve zero waste, reduce our carbon footprint and implement sustainable work practices to benefit the wider community..
$2 from your service will help facilitate resource recovery initiatives that recycle hair, the salon’s metals, hair dyes and tools.
OUR COMMITMENTS
Up to 95% of the resources used during your salon visit will be diverted from landfill and sent for recycling.
HAIR WASTE & PONY TAIL DONATION
Your cut off hair will support charitable causes such as oil spill clean up projects, local community gardens and charitable wig making services.
CHEMICAL RECYCLING
All excess chemicals are collected by Sustainable Salons, sent to chemical recycling plants to be neutralised and turned into water used in roadworks and construction.
TOOLS
Once the tools we use to help style & cut your hair reach their end of life they will be broken down and all possible parts will be repurposed.
DONATION
All the proceeds gained from recycling the salon’s metals such as foils, colour tubes, cans, etc will be donated to not for profit community based organisations that do a killer job helping humanity every day.
COLOUR
Any leftover hair colour will be recycled into new liquids to help reduce the impact to our environment.
